Different Types of Commercial Air Conditioning Systems

Posted on: March 14th, 2019 by Active

Air conditioning is used in a wide variety of commercial spaces to keep the temperature stable and the environment comfortable to be in. There are various types of air conditioning units that can be used in commercial spaces and our latest blog post discusses these and their benefits in further detail.

Split System Air Conditioning

Split system air conditioning units are great for use in smaller commercial building, including small stores.

As one of the most affordable types of air conditioning, split air conditioning systems are used in a wide variety of environments, including small offices, shops, cafés and server rooms.

The one downside to these systems is that you will need enough outside space to accommodate one outdoor unit to every indoor unit.

Despite being one of the cheapest types of commercial air conditioning units, they are among the most energy-efficient.

Multi-Split System Air Conditioning

Although multi-split air conditioning units work in the same way as split systems, they can be connected to up to nine indoor units to one outdoor unit – depending on the model.

Having fewer outdoor units is a great advantage as you can preserve the appeal of your outdoor space as well as save space.

Another great advantage to these units is that you aren’t limited to one type of indoor unit and could benefit from any combination of wall- and ceiling-mounted air conditioning units, along with an air curtain over the entrance.
